Importance of having your rotary regularly checked

Poeple are often under the belief that if they have their car serviced it will always run correctly. Often we see and have to pick up the pieces of broken or damaged cars, cars that either get mis-diagnosed our not thoroughly checked for known faults, simply because the garage was none specialist and was not aware or if its not on the service schedule it does not get checked.
 
He is an example of a catalytic convertor "CAT" that came to us, car was diagnosed by a main dealer as engine failure. There were more problems than just the CAT, but this is classic of what happens. This section has broken off and from one side look clear but the other side reveals the heat that is generated and how it has melted the honey combe and blocked its flow. Note the small amount of honey combe allowing light through!
